.EDIT V12B - OS8 Modifiers: D. Spector E. Steinberger M. Shugerman This version of the symbolic editor is a highly modified version of the original OS8 release. The operation is basically the same as documented in the OS8 Handbook with the follow items as major new features: - Commands can be entered in both upper and lower case - Line numbers are listed in the L and W commands - W Write command Like List, except the editor will remember the line numbers from the command form "n,mW" in subsequent write commands without arguments. - Z Zap command Like the Jerk command except that no punching of the buffer is done into the output file. The editor searchs, deletes, and reads buffers until the proper string is found. - H Rewind command The command rewinds the input to the first character of the first file. The present buffer is not modified and there is no effect on the ouput file. A rewind cannot be done after the end of file. - Command decoder /A option Adds rubouts after tabs in the output file.
