GENERALITIES Money : you can make some money at the brokers, but the easiest ways are the Bank and the Ludum Thieves : carry and select a License or a Philtre : they won't steal those items THE GALLERIES The pictures give you hints (though not always very clear) about the needed items. Old Quarter : arrow, adze, hoe, needle Argot : lead, last, sting, hemlock Graymarket : rue, pile, razor, foil Soke : hammer, barrel, drysalt, broadaxe You can trade the pieces of jewelry with Pita for clues. The clues are : art in order (see gods) skars a pearl (see castle) gods see all rats are vain (see castle) THE GODS You must retrieve the 4 shields. -Give a lyre to Dain who's hidden in a house on Park St (Old Quarter) (I don't know why, but that was the first item I tried) -Visit all the deposit rooms and note their door numbers and the letters on paintings inside.They spell the message "by alchemist counter Pt is key".Buy platinum and go through the hidden door. -Buy a moleskin and platinum and trade them to Bran.He'll give you 2 maps The first "gold in ashes" opens a locked door on Cinder Bank Give the 2nd "Galicia is far" to Ryde (don't know why) and he'll give you a shield -Buy a book at the archivist ("verit ghoom" is anagram for "give to mhor") and give it to Mhor.She'll give a book ("look for my rest"="look for Myre St") which opens a secret door in Myre Street. When placed upon their respective altars, the shields reveal the message "54 + ST key" (54 Cross Street key) and the m-key which leads to the telestone (see castle) THE CASTLE 1st door : "Teth is jailer" : buy a statue in Old Quarter.Then follow the rat in the Soke and you'll find Teth.Trade the statue for the d-key 2nd door : "3 ks for keys, with love".Buy philtres and give them to the 3 thieves.Place the 3 scripts DID POP EVE on the altars and write the word DPE (once again I don't understand that order) 3rd door : "8 rows and bar for key find Skar" : Skar is invisible, so use the telestone to find her location, and the spell from the magick shop to make her visible (BTW, the spell is the key to the Ladies house N of the Ludum).Steal the pearl from the Strongroom (you need to carry a thieves' license) and give it to Skar.She gives you a scroll which reads "2**25".That makes 33554432, which is the sequence of the doors.The scroll is the key to the locked door at the end of this maze. 4th door : "call me to enter" : the answer is OAK (don't ask why !)
