ZBSCR provides an easy to use tool to layout screens and defined fields, and then generates a simple ZBase program in that format. The generated program can then be expanded to fit the individual needs. It may be freely copied and distributed so long as the original documentation is distributed with the program and no fee is charged for the program other than normal on-line charges for dial-up systems or a distribution medium fee not to exceed $5.00 (US) for manual distribution. The operation of the program is very straight forward, when first run the program will ask for a file name, if an existing ZBSCR file by that name does not exist the user will be asked if they wish to create one. The available options and their functions should be straight forward, a little experimentation should provide a better explanation than a written one here. Upon exiting the program ZBSCR will write out a number of files, with the same root name as was originally entered, but with differing extensions as follows: .ZID .DEF .PRG The latest version of this program can be found on the Genie commercial timeshare service in the laptops forum. Any questions or comments on the program can be emailed to R.HAW1. %CO:C,5,60% ZBSCR data file, this can be read in by a subsequent run of ZBSCR and modified as needed. ZBase definition file to create a database as outlined. ZBase program to access the database created from the .DEF file. %CO:D,5,65%%CO:E,60,60%
