F1 - EXIT. Press F1 to leave the Remote Devices Menu and return to the DOS system prompt. Use this when you are done with the Remote Devices Menu. F2 - HELP. Press F2 to see this screen: descriptions of the available functions on the Remote Devices Menu. You cannot select other functions while the Help Messages are on the screen. F3 - DEVICE. Press F3 to choose an output device, Multiple Search & Translate, or Background Compose. Each time you press F3, a different selection appears. F4 - QUEUE FILES. Press F4 to send a file to the device you selected (with F3). You will then be asked to fill in a Source Name, including the drive letter, sub-index, if any and the .TC extension. If the file is being sent to an EP308, you will be asked to fill in Starting page number, Ending page number, Collate Y or N, and number of copies of the document. The last entry is Job Priority. Unless you are inserting a job ahead of others, press RETURN. F5 - DISPLAY QUEUE. Press F5 to show a screen display of the files in the queue for your device (which you selected with F3). F6 - RESET QUEUE. Press F6 to reset the queue. This will stop any jobs that have started, and remove any that are waiting. F7 - DELETE JOB. Press F7 to delete a single job from the queue. NOTE: the job must not have started composing yet. Type the job number (which you can see in the Queue), and press RETURN. F8 - DISPLAY DIRECTORY. Press F8 to see all the files on a specific drive. To view the files on another drive, type the drive letter followed by a colon (:). To view a subdirectory, type a backslash (\) followed the subdirectory name. If the filenames fill the screen, press Pg Dn to see more filenames. Press Esc to perform a different function. F9 - DISPLAY DEVICE. Press F9 to see a list of the public network devices available to the PC. This will list output devices, Multiple Search & Translate, and Background Compose. *** END of HELP ***
