This 'Kemitron’ board is the replacement for the earlier MZ1; although it has various advanced features, (which are directed to its ultimate use as the CPU board in a floppy disc system with large amounts of dynamic memory), it nevertheless is equally effective for use in quite small systems.

There is space for an EPROM of the 2708 type or 2516 (5V 2716) type. As the 2516 is the. more modern device this is the type which is preferred. Extra components are required for the 2708 and although they would not normally be supplied, they are included in all the diagrams etc., for completeness.
